Our Journey, Purpose & Possibilities

Worknet Then. Now. Next.

A network built around people, opportunity, practical business support and the technology needed to keep moving forward.

1998

Worknet begins in Brakpan.

The Beginning

Mother Sonette Bosch founded Worknet Marketing in 1998 in Brakpan, starting Mini Adz and building a practical network around job seekers, entrepreneurs and small businesses.

The early Worknet model was simple: help people find opportunities, help entrepreneurs start and grow, and connect businesses with the people and resources they needed. Distribution grew across the East Rand and the idea of a useful business network took shape.

2001 — A Major Setback

A tragedy forced the business to close, but the purpose behind Worknet did not disappear.

Worknet Returns

As the internet became increasingly useful for business and communication, Worknet reopened and began adapting to a changing world.

2007 — Learning Through Responsibility

When Sonette suffered a stroke, Christelle was still in Grade 12 and stepped in to run the business for about five months.

That experience taught an important lesson: passion matters, but business knowledge and experience matter too. The business eventually closed again while the next chapter of learning and experience began.

Building People & Business Networks

Worknet's networking work grew around Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark and Sasolburg, helping people find work, develop businesses, make contacts and understand opportunities such as tenders.

The network included people from companies, banks and organisations. The focus was practical: connect people, open doors, share knowledge and help businesses understand how to participate in the opportunities around them.

2007–2019 — Education & Real-World Experience

Christelle continued learning while building experience in administration, marketing, payroll, customer service, sales, business operations, digital marketing, graphic design, websites, technology and business systems.

Worknet Goes Digital

Worknet returned to the digital world with websites, marketing, systems and remote business support.

Early believers included Kobus Tosen and Mel from Serve To Grow Foundation. Worknet continued evolving as technology changed, adding websites, apps, AI-assisted solutions, digital systems and remote services.

Today — One Network, Many Possibilities

Worknet now connects businesses, people, technology and services through remote business support, websites, apps, AI, marketing, digital systems, events and Mini Adz.

The ant remains the symbol of the Worknet philosophy: teamwork, communication, preparation and contribution. One ant cannot build the whole colony alone. A network becomes powerful when every part contributes.
